I pursued comprehensive opthamology because
it allows me to see a ton of different patients with a very diverse set of eye conditions,
so I get to see patients who come in with a couple days of problems like a red eye or
an uncomfortable eye, but then I also get to follow patients for years for a lot of
their more chronic problems such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma or cataracts or macular
degeneration. So it really allows me to see a wide variety
of conditions and really be able to help a very wide variety of patients that walk in
through the door.
